A dozen middle and high school teachers and their students spent the 2005-06 school year planning and conducting place-based education projects about northern Michigan’s freshwater resources. SEE-North led the Institute, and engaged about a dozen community organizations to support the work of the teachers or students. Next year, the Freshwater Institute moves to Muskegon and Traverse City. We hope to lead another Institute here in 2007-08.
