SEE-North's Capital Campaign

To expand our successful programs and services, to create new and innovative opportunities for learning, and to extend our reach to new audiences, SEE-North seeks to create two permanent facilities:

SEE-North Exploration Center, located in downtown Petoskey and featuring an interactive interpretation of northern Michigan's natural resources

SEE-North Center for Outdoor Studies, located seven miles northwest of Harbor Springs and featuring citizen-based biological research and North Wings, SEE-North's live birds of prey.

Exploration Center - Now Open!

• On Pennsylvania Park in Petoskey's Historic Gaslight District
• 1,000 square foot interactive learning gallery
• Reception area and gift shop
• Sixteen interactive exhibits about plants, animals and habitats of northern Michigan and people's connection to the land
• Field trip destination for local schools
• Offices and work area for staff

• 40 acres of rolling meadows and hardwood forests
• 1,400 sq. ft. of interpretive space (ground floor) and housing for staff (second floor)
• On-site research about the land-based plants and animals of northern Michigan
• Venue for field-based community education classes and special events
• Public display area for NorthWings, SEE-North's birds of prey
